Description

Mettler SILK-FINISH COTTON 40 in 0757 Swamp is a 40wt thread made from 100% long-staple Egyptian cotton. Its soft feel and subtle sheen suit quilting, patchwork, decorative seams and embroidery.

Mercerization strengthens the cotton and improves heat resistance while reducing shrinkage. Choose this thread for clear, expressive stitches on cotton projects. For machine embroidery, use designs that are not overly dense. It can also be used in an overlocker looper with an appropriate needle thread.

Additional Information

Order 6 or more Mettler spools in total. Mix colors and sizes, including other eligible individual Mettler thread spools. Add each choice to your cart to build your assortment.

Care: wash up to 60°C; do not bleach; tumble dry at normal temperature; iron at high temperature. Professional dry cleaning with perchloroethylene is permitted. Follow the fabric’s care instructions when they call for a gentler treatment.

For embroidery, choose designs that are not overly dense and test on a fabric scrap. When using this thread in an overlocker looper, use an appropriate needle thread such as Mettler SERACOR.
